Carl will be working with bassist and composer Georg Riedel on November 7th and 8th, in Visby.
From October 31st to November 2nd Carl will be in Luleå working with Norrbotten Big Band.
From October 23rd to 26th Carl is going to Finland to work with Norrbotten Big Band.
On November 26th Carl will go on tour with his band Carl Orrje’s Cup of Tea with Rigmor Gustafsson. The group features guitarist Satoshi Inoue who lives in New York, trumpeter Tomonao Hara from Tokyo and Swedish singer Rigmor Gustafsson. The rhythm section is Carl Orrje Trio. Hopefully this band will be on tour in Japan next year.

In August Carl left his position in Gotland. He now lives in Stockholm and has a new trio with bassist Patrik Boman and drummer Ali Djeridi.
In July, 2008 Carl was in Turkey to perform at the Istanbul Jazz festival and a music festival in Izmir.
Carl has been invited for a tour of 14 concerts in Japan. From June 11 to 26, 2007 he will play throughout Japan with Satoshi Inoue Quartet. Satoshi Inoue is a guitar player living and working in New York (www.satoshiinoue.com).
In the beginning of May, Carl is performing his music for woodwind quintet, piano, bass and drums/percussion at the classical music festival Pro Baltic. There will be concerts in Torun, Grudziaz and Warsaw.
In April 2007, Carl Orrje has released a new album “Like the Wind”, featuring his own music for woodwind quintet, piano, bass and drums/percussion. The album is released on the label PB8 (www.PB7.se).
In the beginning of April Carl Orrje recorded an album for the Japanese label Sony Direct. The album contains Carl’s arrangements of Japanese pop hits from the 1970’s. There is a thirteen-piece string orchestra, three horns, piano, bass and drums/percussion. The album will be released for the Japanese market in July under the title “Carl Orrje Orchestra-Golden years S1970”.
